Some efforts, though subtle and unquantifiable, significantly influence student learning. Conversely, impactful initiatives visibly advance the teaching-learning process. The following highlights faculty initiatives, yet it's not an exhaustive list but part of an ongoing process of improvement.
1. Virtual Labs: Certain labs, like the vibration engineering lab, conduct experiments online using web browser-based simulators, part of an innovative initiative by the MHRD of India. 2. Classroom Quiz Sessions: Break monotony, create interest, and enhance learning experience through periodic quiz sessions. 3. Group Leaders In Lab Sessions: Assigning a group leader for each lab session has proven effective, instilling leadership and responsibility in students as they rotate this role weekly. 4. Power Point Presentations: Widely adopted, this technique is a standard norm in the teaching-learning process, facilitated by well-equipped classrooms with projectors. 5. Club Activities: AIMT hosts a variety of clubs catering to different interests and fields, providing students with a range of extracurricular options. 6. MOOCs: Massive open online courses (MOOCs) are gaining widespread acceptance as an innovative means of providing additional knowledge to students.
